In "Parade" a creative shaggy-haired ringleader (Jacques Tati) of a circus pantomimes various activities such as playing tennis and boxing. An assortment of clowns, tumblers, trapeze artists, and magicians share the ring. Audience participation is encouraged, and one man gets up and demonstrates some of his own magic acts in a sort of competition with what is playing out on stage. There are musical performers alongside comedians displaying visual gags galore. There are trained animal acts choreographed to music. A couple of little kids don't have the money to buy a ticket, so they sneak into the circus to see all of the entertainers.
