Probably the most notorious film in the collection, Candy (also known as Never Take Sweets From a Stranger) is a film about a child molester who stalks children in his neighborhood. For a film released in 1960, the material is shockingly grim (almost a precursor to the origins of Freddy Krueger), not to mention incredibly tense, particularly the nail-biting finale. The middle act is a bit cumbersome, locked up in a tiresome trial that goes on forever, but in terms of fresh, terrifying new ideas, Candy is pretty groundbreaking for its time.

The final film in this collection (also known simply as The Damned) mixes things up a bit, shifting into mild sci-fi territory. The movie focuses on two different narratives that slowly come together, and the film is filled with the usual paranoia seen in most '50s and '60s sci-fi pictures, with a heavy hint of Children of the Damned tossed in for good measure. What's strange is how gripping this film actually is. It slowly draws you into the story and never lets up. While it's certainly dated by today's standards, it's a classic slice of B-movie sci-fi cinema that should appeal to cult enthusiasts.
